LG Murmu visits Kupwara, took stock of developmental activities, meet delegates
Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu Saturday toured frontier district Kupwara and too stock of the developmental activities. He also interacted several delegations who apprised him about multiple hardships being people faced in the district.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), LG Murmu, during his visit, took detailed review of the developmental works being carried out in the district and directed official concerned to expedite the pending work so that people in general will avail the benefits of these projects.
Murmu, during sittings with officials of district administration also took stock of Covid-19 lockdown situation and directed police and civil officials to act tough against lockdown violators. He directed officials to ensure enough commodity of goods and supplies in the district in wake of Covid-19 lockdown situation. He also applauded the efforts of district administration, civil and police, for implementing lockdown guidelines on ground.
Lieutenant Governor, at the occasion, interacted with about fifteen delegations and listened their ordeal patiently. They included representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions & Urban Local Bodies, Traders Federation, Auqaf Committees, Transporters, Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association, Senior Citizens & ST Community Members.
LG Muu took first hand appraisal of the developmental needs of the area, besides taking stock of the various projects and works under execution. (KNS)
