Gayoor demands restoration of statehood with full status at earliest
Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) leader and President Gayoor Foundation Showkat Gayoor Andrabi on Monday has appealed central government for restoration statehood of Jammu and Kashmir with full status at earliest.
In a statement issued to KNS, Andrabi demanded that the statehood be returned with full status which it had prior to August 5, 2019.
JKAP leader said “The ppamendments which have been made from time to time to hollow out pro-Kashmir legislations should be made null and void, “.
He added that erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state had a semiautonomous position and had an independent constitution.
He also said that with a single stroke of pen the semiautonomous status stripped and people were humiliated by downgrading and bifurcating it to two union territories, the UT of J and K and UT of Ladakh.
“Handing back a hollowed skeleton in the name of state will not acceptable to people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he remarked (KNS)
