Bollywood actor Gagandeep Singh on Monday said that restoration of 4G internet services in two districts of J&K will not cater the need of people in contemporary times and added he will meet Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha soon for its early restoration.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Singh who has visited few days back for his new project which is being filmed in Valley said that internet services are imperative to be in touch with rest of the world to know the happenings and developments of contemporary times. He added restoration of 4G in two districts will not serve needs of people instead it should be restored across the UT without any delay.
“I heard Government has resumed 4G internet services in two district of J&K – Ganderbal & Ladakh – but it is not enough. Internet facility is the need of time. It should be restored in other districts as well”, Singh said and adding he will meet LG Sinha in this regard and influence him for its early restoration across the Valley.
Singh who has right now cancelled his shooting due to prevailing situation in Kashmir said that he will resume the shooting for this new project once situation turns conducive.
“Kashmir is God’s gift. We have stopped shooting due to prevalent situation in Valley but will resume it soon once situation will get normalize”, Singh said.
Singh who is native of Srinagar said, “I forget every place and came to know that Kashmir is the best place on earth. I visited Gulmarg and realized that every inch of Kashmir is best”.
He expressed glad over the appointment of Manoj Sinha as Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and hoped he will act tough against corruption and elements involved in it.
“Mr. Sinha is doing great job so far. I would like to congratulate him. Hope he will take stern action against elements involved in corruption as it has brought bad name to Kashmir outside”, he added. (KNS)
