People’s genuine demands will be resolved on priority: Advisor Khan
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 07: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan today met several deputations and individuals and listened to their grievances and demands here at Banquet Hall Canal Road.
As many as 88 deputations and individuals met the Advisor during the weekly public hearing camp and projected a number of issues seeking immediate redress for their concerns.
Several deputations of Sarpanches from areas of Marh, Akhnoor, Bishnah and other areas of Jammu district raised different developmental issues like road connectivity, water supply issuance of BPL ration cards and other issues.
A deputation of Physical Education Department sought the redressal of their pay anomaly and other service matters.
Similarly, a deputation of Sarpanches from Samba demanded a stadium in their area so that youth would be engaged in sports and gaming activities.
Another deputation demanded the lifting of ban on bajri and sand extraction from Nallas and Rivers in various areas of Jammu in order to sustain their livelihood.
Likewise, a deputation from Jammu district sought compensation for damages of their houses during recent incessant rains in the region.
A deputation of JAKFED employees demanded the release of their salaries pending from last several months.
Responding to the demands of the visitors, Farooq Khan said that the merit of each demand will be analyzed and action will be taken on priority to redress the same. He also gave on spot directions on issues that could be immediately redressed.
