Forest corporation employees staged a protest for fulfilment of their demands.

All Jammu and Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Union on Wednesday staged a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar. The protesting employees were demanding pending salary; implementation of 7th pay commission. Around a hundred employees All Jammu and Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Union assembled in Press Enclave and were demanding their long pending demands. The protesting employees were raising slogans for release of their eight months pending salary.

Under the guidance of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar and the leadership of Basher ah bhat, they pledged to continue their protests till their long time demands aren’t fulfilled. They also took an oath to increase the intensity of protests in next programme.
While talking to CNS they said, “Forest employees having work to take out timber from forest and along these employees department of timbering project was brought into existence and later on April2020 its name was changed to forest development corporation without taking any stakeholder into confidence, still employees took pains of fetching timber to local population.”
They also added that they demand release of their 4 month salary, regularization of daily wagers, granting leave salary and gratuity in favour employees. The president of organisation saluted resilience of employees and requested them to show unity and discipline in protests till their demands are met. (CNS)
