Road shows
Tourism players from Kashmir have been participating in the promotional campaigns launched by the government in the past few years but with little results.
Recently the government has decided to go to the all major cities of the country with their road shows and other promotional campaigns to get back tourists.
In this connection the government highlighted the vast potential of the tourism sector in the Union Territory through presentations. They highlighted the JK’s all tourism products including leisure, adventure, pilgrim, handicraft, food and culture.
J&K tourism department has also short films about the various tourism spots to promote them for the tourists.
According to the media reports tourism department along with travel agents of Jammu and Kashmir have organized many road shows, promotional campaigns in major cities like Kolkata, Pune, Puri, Jaipur, Amritsar, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal and Bangalore as the campaign is continuing, they are likely to hold similar shows at Lucknow on March 13, Nagpur on March 17, Mumbai & Hyderabad, Delhi, Cochin and Mysore.
