Dr Abdullah responding well, getting better, Omar
Former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, admitted to hospital after testing positive for COVID-19, is responding well and getting better, his son National Conference (NC) Vice President (VP) Omar Abdullah informed Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, NC is organizing prayers across the Jammu and Kashmir for early recovery of Dr Abdullah, who was admitted to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on April 3 after testing positive for COVID-19. He had received first dose of COVID vaccine on March 2.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha visited SKIMS to enquire about the health of Dr Abdullah.
Omar said his father (Dr Abdullah) has asked him to convey his deep gratitude to all colleague for the prayers and message he has been receiving.
Taking to micro blogging site Twitter former Chief Minister Omar said” My father has asked me to convey his deep gratitude to all our colleagues for these prayers & all the messages he has been receiving. He is responding well to the treatment and is getting better”.
A NC spokesman said NC holds special prayers for speedy recovery of Dr Abdullah across Jammu and Kashmir.
