Right direction
Some of the recent decisions taken by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to contain the second wave of pandemic in Jammu and Kashmir are the steps in the right direction taken by him.
He is leading from the front to contain the infection, but his bureaucracy is still working in old fashion, bringing disturbing reports from the ground that the situation is slipping out of hand.
Manoj Sinha’s series of decisions taken in the past few days is an indicator that he wants his bureaucracy to be serious to tackle the infection and finish their work within the timeline set by the government.
In these decisions he has asked his bureaucrats to discharge their duties with greater responsibility. He asked them to put in their best efforts; work round-the-clock to ensure availability of all necessary Medicare facilities.

He directs Deputy Commissioners of all districts for timely release of payments under MGNREGA, beneficiary oriented schemes; ensuring early submission of District Plans.
Manoj Sinha has said that he is keeping a close watch on the Covid containment measures and the monitoring will continue in the coming days.
