Director reviews progress on RDD’s development schemes in Valley
SRINAGAR, JULY 3: Director Rural Development, Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, reviewed progress on various development schemes including centrally sponsored schemes being implemented by the Rural Development Department here today.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director RDD, SE REW Kashmir, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Commissioners Development, Assistant Commissioners Panchayats, DPOs, Executive Engineers of Kashmir division.
A detailed power-point presentation regarding different schemes being implemented by the Rural Development Department Kashmir was given during the meeting.
Director had a detailed review of different flagship programmes including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, Rural Mason Training Programme under PMAY-G, Physical and financial progress under 14th FC besides the status of RDA cases, ACB complaints and online grievances.
It was informed that 6400 works have been taken up under MGNREGA against the target of 70003 works for the current financial year 2021-22 thereby creating 10.46 lakh person days. Under RGSA, 86 Panchayat ghars have been taken up for construction, of which, 10 have been completed, so far.
Director asked the officers to ensure release of wage payment under MGNREGA within fixed time line besides taking up of new works so as to provide succor to the rural labourers during COVID-19 pandemic. He also stressed upon the officers to ensure coordination with PRI members to achieve the development targets besides dissemination of awareness related to adherence to SOPs like hand hygiene, social distancing, wearing of masks.
