Youth in focus
With youth in focus, Jammu and Kashmir administration has been introducing a lot of new skill development courses for the youth so that they can get the jobs after completing the courses.
In this direction recently LG Manoj Sinha has asked his officers to revamp the Admission process in Polytechnics and ITIs for ensuring 100% capacity utilization of these institutions, besides improving the intakes of the students.
The Government has already introduced youth clubs at the panchayat levels and has even given the green signal to establish these clubs at some places.
According to the recent policy decision taken by the Jammu and Kashmir administration these Youth clubs would be integrated with the skill development institutions so that the unemployed youth at the village level get the chance to undergo the training for the various skill development courses.
According to the recent government data released after the review meeting of the skill development department 18,000 youth in 35 identified sectors to be trained under various skill development programmes.
