HEALTH SERVICE IN FOCUS
The government of Jammu and Kashmir has put its focus on the health services here and in the recent past not only new covid hospitals have been put in place but the authorities have been working on war footing to complete health facilities at many places.
Recently LG Manoj Sinha dedicated Rs 11.50 cr worth 100-bedded Emergency Block at GMC Jammu to the people and showed his resolve for the completion of such projects as soon as possible.
He also inaugurated a 50-bedded hospital costing Rs 20 cr at Gangyal in Jammu and it will benefit the local population.
Prior to its JK administration with the help of DRDO has made functional five bedded hospitals for the covid patients both in Jammu and Srinagar.
If there is a possible third wave of covid-19, it will be tackled by the health department in a better manner as now they have beds available along with oxygen facilities in case the cases increase suddenly in future.
The government has also installed new oxygen plants at various places in Jammu and Srinagar and have also enhanced the capacity of oxygen plants in different hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the second wave of pandemic the authorities were tackling the infection and during the peak of the wave they were able to enhance the capacity of oxygen plants and saved many precious human lives.
