DM Shopian reviews Registration process of unorganised workers on e-Shram portal
Stresses for achieving 100% target
SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 07: The District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired the meeting of concerned officers to review the progress achieved so far vis-à-vis registration of unorganised sector workers on e-Shram portal at Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.
During the meeting, Assistant Commissioner, Labour, Shopian appraised the chair that 20744 unorganised workers of the district have been registered since the launch of the e-Shram portal.
While reviewing the sector wise progress in the registration of unorganised workers/labourers on the e-Sharm portal, the DM asked for intensifying registration process to ensure 100 percent coverage of intended beneficiaries and warned that no laxity will be tolerated in achieving the target.
The e-Shram registration will help to maintain the database of the unorganised workers which will be helpful in extending the benefit of social security schemes meant for these workers at ground level, the DM said. He further said that it will pave the way for providing them job opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Abdul Majid Tantray, ACD, CMO, CEO, CAO, DSWO, ARTO, District Fisheries Officer, BDOs, District Manager, NRLM and other concerned.
