Director Handicrafts & Handloom inspects Handicrafts Exhibition at Dilli Haat
Attends BOD meeting of Indian Silk Promotion council
NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 20: The Director Handicrafts and Handloom Kashmir today took stock of the ongoing Handicrafts exhibition organized by the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir in association with Development Commissioner Handicrafts Government of India at Dilli Haat INA Market, New Delhi.
The 15-Day Exhibition of Handicrafts and Handloom kick started on 16th of December 2021 wherein the Artisans and Craftsmen both from Jammu as well as Kashmir are displaying and marketing their products in as many as 50 stalls.
The exhibition is one of the means of providing marketing opportunities to the artisans to decrease their piled up inventory. The participants were assured that back to back exhibitions are lined up to provide maximum possible opportunities for the sale of their inventory. An exhibition at Dili Haat came as a follow up of India International Trade Fair Exhibition at Pragati Maidan Delhi and Shilip Utsav at Noida Haat.
The department is planning a major intervention at Surajkund where J&K is participating as a Theme State. The Director also paid a visit to the 10th edition of India International Silk Fair which is presently going on at Ambience Gold Trade DLF Ph-III Gurgaon.
He interacted with the participants and assured all possible support from the Govt. The Director also attended the Board Meeting of India Silk Export Promotion Council as special invitee.
