Students protest non-availability of transport, block highway
The students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Gund here in the Ganderbal district held a protest and blocked the Sumbal Highway against the non-availability of transport facility.
The protesting students hit the road and blocked the vehicular movement to attract the attention of authorities.
Amid slogans, the students were demanding regular and timely transportation facilities. The protesting students alleged that due to the non-availability of transport facilities they reach late their educational institute every day, which also affects their education.
After getting information, SHO Police Station Gund reached the spot and assured the protesting students that their issue will be resolved in the shortest possible time.
After the assurance, the protesting students dispersed peacefully and vehicular movement was restored on the road. (KNT
