 In order to provide a better chain of market to the farmers of Jammu and Kashmir, the government is trying to implement e-NAM (National Agriculture Market) here.

Recently the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department reviewed implementation of e-NAM (National Agriculture Market) in the Union Territory. He assessed the status of registration of farmers, traders and commission agents during discussion with the concerned officers.

He instructed the Director Horticulture (P&M) to organize a buyer-seller meet prior to the harvesting season. This proactive approach aims to maximize the benefits for stakeholders after the harvest season, he maintained.

Among others the meeting was attended by Director General Command Area Development (CAD) Jammu, Director Sericulture J&K, Director General, Sheep Husbandry Kashmir, Director Sheep Husbandry, Jammu, Director General Planning APD, Director Planning ASH&F/Horticulture, Special Secretary (All) APD, Director Finance APD, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director Horticulture Jammu/Kashmir, Managing Director, Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited, MD HPMC, Director Fisheries, Director CAD Kashmir, Director Agriculture Kashmir/Jammu, CGM NABARD Director Horticulture (P&M), State Coordinator e-NAM, National Coordinator e-NAM, President Fruit and Vegetable Association Parimpora and President Fruit Mandi Narwal Jammu, both in person and through video conferencing.
