Agriculture and allied sectors are being provided scientific interventions to the farming community here.
Recently in district Kupwara Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, felicitated innovative, technically empowered progressive farmers for their contribution in agriculture & allied sectors at Kupwara.
In an impressive function at Town Hall Kupwara, the Deputy Commissioner presented mementoes and appreciation certificates to progressive farmers for their dedication, passion and commitment for development of agriculture and it’s allied sectors in the district.
Progressive farmers who were felicitated include NRLM Group Head, Atiqa hailing from Tarathpora and Mohammad Ashraf War resident of Lawoosa Mawar.
Atiqa was honored for her contribution in mushroom cultivation, organic farming and producing of high yielding vegetable seedlings.
She along with her other group members have taken benefit of HADP and established 5 poly-green houses with tubular structures and one high tech playhouse at Tarathpora.
Similarly, Mohammad Ashraf War has established a Trout unit at Lawoosa under PMMSY.
