RDD schemes
Rural development is the prime focus of J&K administration and the social audit of schemes is must to understand the implementation of these schemes.
Recently Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD) reviewed implementation of RDD schemes in Rajouri.
He emphasized for timely social audit of schemes for enhanced transparency, accountability.
Regarding implementation of MGNREGA, it was informed that out of the target of 2,758,044 person-days for the period ending March 2025, 95,993 person-days have been generated as of now.
He emphasized the need to accelerate the progress to meet the annual targets. While taking note of the delayed payments under MGNREGA, he asked the BDOs to ensure timely payment of wages under MGNREGA.
Regarding PMAY-G and AWAS Plus, the meeting was informed that out of the total target of constructing 62,314 houses, 41,372 houses have been completed, so far.
He reviewed the status of construction of panchayat ghars. It was informed that out of 38 panchayat ghars, the work on 12 panchayat ghars has been completed. He emphasized upon the officers to expedite the remaining construction works for speedy completion.
