Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, visited Kulgam and inaugurated two newly constructed New Type Primary Health Center (NTPHC) buildings in Lammer and Chowgam villages of the district.
MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah; Director Health Services, Kashmir; Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC); Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR); senior officers of health department and locals were present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Minister reiterated Omar Abdullah led government’s commitment towards strengthening the healthcare system across Jammu & Kashmir. “Our government is determined to bridge healthcare gaps in underserved areas and ensure quality medical services reach every doorsteps, reducing dependency of people on far-off hospitals”, Sakeena stated.
She further underlined the importance of accessible healthcare services for all, particularly in remote villages. “These health centres will play major role in providing essential medical services to the people of these villages as well as adjacent areas. These centres will also ensure that no one is deprived of timely medical attention”, the Minister maintained.
She highlighted that the focus of present government is to ensure quality healthcare services for all. She added that the present government will ensure that essential medical facilities are more accessible and better equipped to cater to public needs.
