CRUMBLING HEALTH SYSTEM
Latest from JK Government is that they have amended Sop’s regarding the referral cases to covid hospitals and also for the patients who are asymptomatic.

On the eve of Eid government has eased a little the continuous lockdown re-imposed by them after each day hundreds of patients are showing being infected by covid-19 virus.
The decision of the chief secretary came in the wake of July 22, after warnings of the hospital authorities from Kashmir that they have no beds for Covid patients, administration in Kashmir decided to go for another strict lockdown to flatten the curve.
Earlier on July 13, district administration of Srinagar had already brought most of the areas under lockdown by announcing 68 areas as containment zones here. Despite all these orders and efforts, each day in Kashmir valley is witnessing a huge surge of Covid positive cases. The figures are already touching 20000 with the death rate also growing in the past few days.
Over hundreds of cases each day have been reported from Kashmir in the past few weeks with no beds available in the Covid hospitals here. With growing pandemic, administration is clueless of how to create new Covid beds and have resorted to yet another lockdown to control the situation. According to the officials being quoted in media reports that Hundreds of ventilators have yet to reach Srinagar despite assurances by bureaucrats of health department.
