Army man commits suicide in south Kashmir
Srinagar: An Army man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his official quarters in the Ashmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday evening.
Official sources said, ‘’Sepoy Balram Singh, under Regimental number (18005646) who was posted in 03 Rashtriya Rifles allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his Head Quarter in Ashmuqam this evening,” reported wire-service KNO.
‘’He was found lying unconscious by his colleagues, who shifted him to the Military Hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead,” sources said.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that it was not immediately known what forced the soldier to take the extreme step.
He said that a case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been started. (KNO)
