Arnab Goswami shifted to Taloja jail for using mobile phone inside judicial custody
Raigad police shifted Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, to Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai on Sunday morning for allegedly using a mobile phone while in judicial custody inside a make-shift quarantine centre for prisoners located in a municipal school in Alibaug.
Goswami is one of the three accused in the abetment to suicide case of an interior designer and his mother.
On Saturday, The Bombay high court bench of Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik, after a day-long special hearing via videoconferencing, reserved Goswami’s plea for interim bail for final orders. The HC order will be pronounced at 3pm on November 9, Monday.
