A joint team of Army’s 28 RR and 162 Battalion CRPF besides SOG personnel ‘busted a militant hideout’ during a search operation in forest area of Warnow Lolab in Kupwara district, official sources said.
They said that the joint team had launched a cordon-and-search-operation after receiving inputs about suspicious movement in Nawabehak Kawari forest area.
During the course of searches, the team, as per the official recovered a cache of arms and ammunitions in the dense forests.
“The recovered arms and ammunition include Four AK-47 Magazines, 15 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, 2 hand grenades, one each of Binoculars, Compass, wire-cutter and a map”, the sources added. (GNS)
