After the visit
After the conclusion of the visit by the foreign envoys both mainstream political parties and Lt. Governor Administration feel that they have been able to convey their point to the visiting delegates.
The JK administration did not invite the former chief ministers or the sitting MP’s but instead only invited recently elected DDC members in order to show these elections as one of their major achievements post abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking a dig at the foreign envoys, former chief minister Omar Abdullah thanked them for visiting Jammu and Kashmir and expressed hope they will send real visitors here.
Similarly another former chief minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti said that the government of India is desperate by such guided visits to get all is well certificates from these countries about Jammu and Kashmir.
She said that such visits will not change the ground realities of Jammu and Kashmir and the central government instead of conducting these visits should try to understand the harsh realities of the issues and solve them.
Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha while briefing the envoys observed that an ecosystem of democratic values, welfare principles and economic development has been developed in J&K and scores of measures are being taken by the Government for development and prosperity of the UT.
