New covid restrictions half of the markets to remain shut

In order to arrest the growing curve of covid-19 government has decided to allow only half of the market to open on one day while this rotation will help the people to shop in a staggered manner.
Earlier also in the slew of directions JK administration has asked the cooperation of people and traders in order to prevent the further spread of the infection.
Testing facilities have been enhanced and all the travelers and tourists who will come by road would be tested at multiple points in order to avoid the further spread of infection.
The latest direction is that only 50% of the market should be open on a single day, the administration is trying to curb the crowds in the markets especially during the current month of Ramdhan.
Meanwhile KNS while reporting about the fresh directions of the government in Jammu and Kashmir has said in its report that Government has issued new COVID control measures which include only 50% shops in Markets within the Municipal limits / urban local body limits shall be open on an alternate basis, besides plying of public transport with 50 percent capacity.
According to the series of tweets from the Office of LG, “Public transport (matadors / mini-buses / buses etc.,) in J&K shall be permitted to ply only at 50% of its authorized seating capacity. The District Superintendents of Police shall ensure compliance to this effect,” it reads.
Only 50% shops in Market complexes / Bazaars / Malls within the Municipal limits / urban local body limits shall be open on an alternate basis through a rotation system. District magistrates of all districts shall devise a mechanism to implement this, preferably in consultation with local market associations, another tweet reads.
The Office of LG Manoj Sinha also said that the “Corona Curfew at night shall be extended to all Municipal / urban local body limits of all 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. It was already in force in eight districts earlier, from 10 pm to 6 am.”
