Toddler among two killed in Karnah road mishap
8-months-old toddler was among the two killed in a road accident that took place in Jabri locality of Karnah in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
Report reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said a tata sumo bearing registration no JK05B 8799 skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Jabri.
They said that the vehicle was on its way to Tangdhar from Jabri and the accident took place near Baghbella Jabri area today at around 11am when the driver lost control over the vehicle.
“Police and local volunteers swung into action soon after the vehicle rolled down over 200 feet.”
Reports said that the toddler and a 90-year-old man, were found dead on the spot and eight others were rescued in a critical condition,
The deceased have been identified as Safdar Ali (90) and 8-months-old Afan.
They said that the injured were immediately rushed to sub-district hospital Tangdhar, where from three injured were referred to Srinagar in a critical condition. (KNS)
