Forces and militants exchange fire in South Kashmir’s Mir Bazar area
Militants attacked a BSF vehicle part of a convoy in Mir Bazar area of South Kashmir’s Qazigund town.
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the convoy was coming Jammu to Anantnag when a vehicle part of the convoy was attacked by militants.
Sources added that security personnel retaliated and there was exchange of fire.
The area was cordoned off and reinforcement reached in the area.
Latest reports said that firing has been stopped while a search operation has been initiated to track down the militants. More details awaited. (KNT)
