Jal Jeevan Mission
In order to provide drinking water to every household in every corner of Jammu and Kashmir the government is trying to implement the Jal Jeevan Mission launched by the central government for this purpose.
J&K administration is closely monitoring through the concerned wings the pace of implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission on the ground and the progress is being monitored by LG Manoj Sinha himself who is having review meetings for the progress of the work periodically.
Recently a one day workshop on implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission was organized at Jammu.
The Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir while talking in the seminar said that his administration is committed to provide basic facilities to citizens; ground level workers to work hard to achieve set targets in time.
Jal Shakti Department organized this one day workshop on implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at convention centre Jammu.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need for working in a totally transparent and accountable manner so the goals set under the Mission are accomplished in full. He added that it is a firm commitment of the government to extend every basic facility to the people of J&K and launching of Jal Jeevan Mission is a step forward in this direction. He said that efforts are afoot to extend the facility of tap water to every household by August 15, 2022.
