Manoj Sinha says no agricultural land has been given to any non local

While declaring the recent untimely snowfall as a natural calamity, J&K administration will give compensation to the farmers who have suffered, Manoj Sinha said that not any inch of agricultural land has been given to any outsider in Jammu and Kashmir so far.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said the government is aware about the hardships being faced by orchardists and farmers due to the recent untimely snow and said that they would be compensated by his administration.

According to the KNT while reporting about the utterance of LG Manoj Sinha it said in its news report on Thursday as follows.

LG Manoj Sinha who kick started the Apple festival 2021 at SKICC Srinagar told the farmers that no agricultural land has been given to any outsider and to protect the land of Jammu and Kashmir is the responsibility of the government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The festival was attended by leading apple growers and farmers of Kashmir region.

Manoj Sinha as per news agency Kashmir News Trust said that some vested interest people are trying to build up a false narrative that agricultural lands are being given to outsiders. He said that protection of agriculture lands in the Jammu and Kashmir is the prime responsibility of the government.

Shortly after the culmination of the function, Manoj Sinha in response to a question has that government has already declared the recent damages caused to apple orchards due to snowfall as natural calamity and those who have suffered will be compensated.

He said several ‘anti farmer’ laws in Jammu and Kashmir have been changed to boost the horticulture activities.
