While increasing the posts of sub-inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir police the government has also announced onetime age relaxation to the aspirants for these posts.

The order was issued on Wednesday that they have increased the number of posts of sub-inspectors in J&K police from 800 to 1200.

In a tweet the office of LG Jammu and Kashmir said, “Following representation from various delegations, the Govt has taken a decision to provide one-time age relaxation for aspirants in recruitment of Sub-inspectors in @JmuKmrPolice. The Upper age limit increased from 28 to 30yrs & no. of UT cadre posts also increased from 800 to 1200 (sic”.

It is in place to mention that the onetime age relaxation was given as there are a lot of youth from the rural areas who want to serve in police as sub inspectors but many of them have crossed the age bars prescribed by the government for the application of such posts.
