Petrol, Diesel prices today: Fuel rates remain steady on December 11 amid decline in global crude oil prices
Even after a sharp fall in international crude oil rates, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel on Saturday, December 11, 2021. The prices of petrol and diesel have been left untouched by the state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) for over a month now.
Meanwhile, there is a decline in crude oil prices on the international market. The price of crude oil is running up to $ 75 per barrel.
According to the Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest fuel retailer, the rate of petrol in Delhi stands at Rs 95.41 per litre while diesel is being sold at Rs 86.67 per litre in the national capital.
In India’s financial capital, Mumbai, the prices of petrol and diesel stood at Rs 109.98 and Rs 94.14 per litre, respectively. Notably, fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai, among all the four metro cities.
Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu’s capital, Chennai, petrol costs Rs 101.40 per litre and diesel continues to retail at Rs 91.43 per litre. On the other hand, petrol can be bought at Rs 104.67 per litre in Kolkata and diesel costs Rs 101.56 per litre.
Fuel rates in other Indian cities
In Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar, petrol is retailing at Rs 112.11 per litre, which is the most expensive in the country and diesel costs Rs 95.26 per litre, whereas, in Bangalore, petrol costs Rs 100.58 per litre and diesel is available at Rs 85.01 per litre. Meanwhile, in Patna, the capital of Bihar, the prices of petrol and diesel stood at Rs 105.92 and Rs 91.09 per litre respectively.
In Lucknow, petrol is below the Rs 100 mark and costs Rs 95.28 per litre, whereas diesel is available at Rs 86.80 per litre. On the other hand, petrol is being retailed at Rs 107.23 per litre in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal and people have to shell out Rs 90.87 for one litre of diesel.
It may be noted that fuel rates are the cheapest in Port Blair, where petrol and diesel cost Rs 82.96 and Rs 77.13 per litre, respectively.
