DC Srinagar chairs District Valuation Committee meeting
Reviews proposal of revised Stamp Duty rates for year 2022
SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 15: In order to revise the Stamp duty rate structure for year 2022, proposed by Sub District Valuation Committee, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who is also the Chairman of District Valuation Committee(DVC) chaired a meeting at Meeting Hall of DC Offic Complex here today.
Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Athar Amir Khan was also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the respective Revenue officials apprised the Deputy Commissioner that the rates for Stamp duty have been analysed and informed about the area wise percentage of changes to be incorporated for the year 2022.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to revisit the proposal in view of the laid down criteria for rate fixation and also keeping in view the circumstances arisen due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The DC directed the concerned officers to undertake an excercise for area wise classification of the rate structure to finalize the Stamp duty in Srinagar District.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Syed Hanief Balkhi, SDM East, Owais Mushtaq, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Raies Ahmad, ACR, Nazool (Collector PWD), Sandeep Bali, District Panchayat Officer, Divisional Forest Officer and officer from DIC, Chief Town Planning and other concerned.
