DC Kupwara inaugurates booster dose of Covid vaccination
Appeals people to follow CAB
KUPWARA, JANUARY 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Imam Din today inaugurated Booster Dose of covid vaccination drive for Health Care Workers (HCWs), Frontline Workers (FLWs) and for the age group of above 60, besides people with comorbidities, here at Sub District Hospital, Kupwara.
The first dose was given to the Deputy Commissioner at the occasion.
The DC was informed that District Kupwara has achieved 100 percent vaccination in both doses for the age group of 18 years and above including HCWs and FLWs.
On the occasion, DC appealed to people of Kupwara district to take all preventive measures against Covid-19 including wearing of masks, usage of hand hygiene and maintaining social distance. He said the cases of Covid pandemic and its variant Omicron are continuously rising up in different areas of the country and it is imperative for all to follow CAB religiously.
He appealed to people from 15 year age to take the Covid vaccine at nearest vaccination centres, adding that vaccination and precautions are two basic elements to keep Covid pandemic at bay.
