Execution of works
Execution of works is the main focus of J&K administration especially those works which have been undertaken in the rural areas. There have been a lot of review meetings and the officers have been told that they should remove the bottlenecks as soon as possible so as to meet the timelines of such projects.
Recently J&K Chief Secretary directed RDD to speed up execution of works in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the department to target 4 lakh Mahila Kissan under MKSPS during next year.
He directed YSS Science & Technology/Estates Departments to complete targeted works by March, 2022, so that the projects are completed on time and they do not pile up on the files for more funds.
He directed the Rural Development Department to gear up to meet annual capex targets for sustainable, people-centric development in the rural landscape of J&K.
He made this observation while reviewing the Capex of the department in which Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department and other senior officers of the department were present.
He directed the department to ensure that tendering is followed in all works in the department and all administratively approved and technically sanctioned works are allotted expeditiously in a transparent manner.
He directed the department to meet the target of 30000 works under capex and saturate all the eligibility cases under PMAY-G with first installment by the end of the current fiscal year.
