Anti-encroachment drive
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir is very serious about removing the encroachments from the state land and have decided to retrieve the land by giving the directions to the officers on the ground.
Recently Divisional Commissioner Kashmir directed all the Tehsildars to intensify the anti-encroachment drive so that all identified encroached state/kahcharie land is retrieved from the land grabbers in a time bound manner.
He also passed directions to fix responsibility on the concerned authorities regarding missing Masavis. He also asked to maintain a proper repository /inventory of handover/takeover to keep handy reference about the officials holding the charges at Tehsil level.
He asked them to transfer the retrieved land to the Government Departments with proper mutations of the transferred land for use of official purposes.
He directed to submit details of Kacharie land as per the given format so that an appropriate plan for its retrieval and usage is formulated.
He was informed that the Jamabandies of all 137 villages of Srinagar district have been updated by the concerned Tehsildars and submitted to the Regional Director Survey Land Records for digitization, out of 137 Girdawaries 87 have been prepared while remaining 50 Girdawaries are yet to be written.
Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme(DILRMP), the chair was informed that 2878648 revenue documents have been scanned out of which 2294892 have been approved, similarly 1605 Masavies have also been scanned and approved while 610 Masavies have also been digitized so far.
