Bank Guard Injured In Militant Attack In Pulwama, Rifle Snatched
A bank guard was injured after militants fired upon him in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Local sources said that militants emerge in Muran Chowk and fired upon a Jammu Kashmir Bank guard. Militants reportedly escaped from the spot after snatching a 12-Bore rifle from the injured guard.
The victim who has been identified as Abdul Hamid Wani, a resident of Tahab Pulwama was shifted to hospital.
A doctor said that the victim has suffered a bullet injury in his leg and his condition is stable.
Joint forces rushed to the spot to assess the situation after the incident.
This is the third militancy-related incident of the day. Earlier two militants were killed in an encounter in the same Pulwama district while another militant as per police was killed in a brief shoot-out in the Hazratbal area of Srinagar skirts.
Yesterday, militants had shot dead a Sarpanch in the Khonmou area of Pulwama district. (KNT)
