DC Srinagar holds Public grievance redressal camp at Sanat Nagar in Chanapora Tehsil
SRINAGAR, APRIL 20: To listen to the public issues, grievances at their door steps and to ensure on spot resolution of the developmental issues, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Wednesday held a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Sanant Nagar in Chanapora Tehsil of the district under public out Reach programme.
The programme witnessed large participation of people from Sanat Nagar, Rawalpora, Wanabal, Baghat, Buarzulla, Gangbug, Peerbagh and other adjoining areas of Chanapora Tehsil of Srinagar. Besides, Vice Chairman, Block Development Council Srinagar, Bilal Ahmad the Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by SSP Traffic, Muzaffar Ahmad, Deputy Director Employment, Rouf ul Rehman, Sub Divisional Magistrate West, Pimroze Bashir, Chief Education Officer, Manzoor Ahmad, Tehsildar Chanapora, Saqib Saleem and other senior Officers of the district.
During the Grievance Redressal Camp, public representatives, delegations and scores of individuals projected various developmental issues and demands before the Deputy Commissioner including settlement of Revenue records, macadamization of roads, augmentation of water and power supply, de-silting of drains, repairs of street lights and foot bridge in Gangbug, replacement of wooden electric poles and other issues.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the Deputy Commissioner sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp.
He also assured the people of Chanapora Tehsil that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be looked into on priority for their speedy redressal.
The DC also gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the public issues.
SSP Traffic also spoke on the occasion and sought public cooperation in better traffic management in the City.
During the camp, Deputy Director Employment highlighted the benefits of different Government self-employment schemes and stressed the unemployed educated youth to take advantage of these livelihood generation schemes to become self-reliant and provide employment to others. He also emphasised upon the youth to get enrolled/engaged in different incentivized self-employment schemes and register them with District Employment & Career Counselling Centre, Srinagar.
Similarly, Block Medical Officer, Batamaloo, Dr Sameena also underlined the benefits of different health schemes launched in Srinagar District for the patients including free OPD/IPD/LAB for patients visiting City Wellness or Health Centres, besides benefits of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) card.
While Sports Officer, YSS also threw light upon the sports facilities/platforms available in the District for youth and elderly persons.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for precise and on-ground assessment for time bound redressal.
With regard to settlement of Revenue matters, the DC said with the help of latest technological interventions District Srinagar has digitised all Revenue records to ensure transparency and promote peoples ease of access to the revenue record with certified copies of Record-of-Rights for all intents and purposes before Courts and Financial institutions.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the educated unemployed youth to come forward and take benefit from different Government self-employment schemes to earn a dignified livelihood.
