Road to progress
The J & K government has completed many infrastructure projects in the recent past including Sidhra-Surinsar road executed by J&K ERA.
The road will give a fillip to the tourism sector by connecting well known pilgrimage, tourist locations such as Purmandal, Mansar, Devak, Sudhmahadev and Mata Vaishno Devi.
The vital road project completed at a cost of Rs.16.70 crore will benefit approx 5 lakh residents linking many villages to towns, providing access to economic and social services
He said that the Rs 16.70 Crore road project, executed by J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency (J&K ERA), is very vital as it provides road connectivity to various pilgrimages, tourist locations in and around the Jammu District.
The vital project will facilitate the socio-economic development of areas including Bajalta, ChakChilah, Badgah, Aithem and Surinsar, benefitting around five lakh populations.
The road will also give a fillip to the tourism sector in Jammu division as it completes the pilgrimage/tourist circuit from Purmandal, Mansar, Devakand connecting with Vaishno Devi Shrine and Sudhmahadev in Reasi and Udhampur districts.
Member of Parliament Jammu-Poonch, Sh Jugal Kishore Sharma; Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sh Chander Mohan Gupta; Former Legislator, Sh Devender Singh Rana; Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sh Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ms Avny Lavasa, besides PRI members and senior officers were present on the occasion.
