Stock position of essentials reviewed at Ganderbal
GANDERBAL, JANUARY 13: A meeting was convened today under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah in the V.C Room of Mini-Secretariat Ganderbal to review the stock position of essentials in the District.
At the outset, threadbare discussion was held on stock position of essential Commodities, LPG connections and kerosene oil requirement.
The ADC directed Assistant Director FCS&CA to make adequate stocks of all essential commodities available in the District so that routine hassle free supply to the consumers is ensured.
He also passed several instructions to the concerned for ensuring all households have LPG connections and appropriate exercise shall be carried at Tehsil level to find out the requirements of Kerosene oil for illumination and cooking purposes only by the households in the district.
Tehsil Supply Officers of FCS&CA Department were directed to initiate an appropriate exercise/drive at their respective circle levels in collaboration with Revenue authorities and LPG associates to find out the households of the District who are without LPG connections, if any, so that the LPG be made available to such households as the Government of J&K is contemplating to declare the UT of Jammu and Kashmir as “Kerosene free” i.e no PDS Kerosene allocation by 31st of March-2023 owing to optimum penetration of LPG and almost complete electrification of all the villages of J&K.
Furthermore, they were directed to initiate an appropriate exercise/drive at their respective circle levels in collaboration with Revenue authorities and Kerosene oil associates to find out the requirement of Kerosene oil for illumination and cooking only, if any, by the households of the District.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Ganderbal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kangan, Assistant Director FCS&CA Ganderbal, Tehsil Supply Officers of FCS&CA and representatives of various Gas Agencies operating in the District.
