Sakura Science Program
Recently Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, had an inspiring interaction with Sonika, an 11th-grade student from Government High School (GHS) Doda, who is set to travel to Japan under the prestigious Sakura Science Program.
The one week programme is being organised by Union Ministry of Education and Sonika is among 21 students of the country selected for the programme.
During the interaction with Sonika, She advised her to take maximum benefit of this opportunity to hone her talent. “Take full advantage of this opportunity for your personal and professional growth”, Sakeena Masood said.
“This unique platform will broaden your perspectives on science and innovation and help you to contribute towards technology and research in your place”.
While engaging with officers on the occasion, the Minister underlined that the selection of Sonika will be an inspiration for all the students of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Doda, as Sonika was student of that school.
“Her participation is expected to have a far-reaching impact on the educational landscape of Jammu & Kashmir”, Sakeena Masood stated.
She urged the department to provide all possible facilities to students for their proper grooming and holistic development so that they can compete in these kind of programs.
