POLICE GRIEVANCE CELLS
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has taken a significant step towards providing support and assistance to families affected by terrorism by establishing dedicated Grievance Cells/Helplines in several districts. This initiative aims to facilitate the registration and resolution of grievances of terrorism-affected families across the districts, ensuring that they receive the help and compensation they deserve.
The helpline numbers have been set up in districts such as Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, and Sopore, and are available during specified hours. The police are committed to extending every possible support and promptly sharing collected information with concerned authorities for appropriate action. This move is expected to bring relief to many families who have been struggling to cope with the aftermath of terrorist violence.
The establishment of these helplines is a testament to the police’s commitment to serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir and providing them with a platform to voice their grievances. The police are working tirelessly to ensure that the affected families receive the support and assistance they need, and this initiative is a significant step in that direction.
This move comes after Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha directed authorities to reopen cases involving families whose loved ones were killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists and provide government jobs to their next of kin on a priority basis. The police are working to ensure that the affected families receive the support and assistance they need, and this initiative is expected to make a significant difference in their lives.
