Karwan-e-Mohabbat reaches LOC in Uri, distributes essential items

Uri, April 23 (KNS): Karwan-e-Mohabbat, a Delhi based non-governmental organization (NGO) on Wednesday reached-out to the needy living near the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector to distribute essential commodities.
According to KNS, the NGO visited the villages like Shadra and Chappar in Kamalkote and Sukhdar area. On Tuesday, NGO visited Mothal village on the LoC. Earlier they had also carried out the distribution work in Sopore town.
Naveed Bukhtiyar, Kashmir chapter head for the organization said that this time they have extended their support to the people living on LoC.
“They are the most deserving people who always remain unattended by the government and are also the victims of border skirmishes,” he said.
“We can expedite the process of helping them only if we get the assistance from the local administration,” he added.
Karwan-e-Mohabbat was set-up with an aim to build the communal harmony in India. The organisation keeps fighting the cases of hate crimes and supports the victims of hate crime. The organisation is led by noted activist and peacemaker Harsh Mander (KNS)
