Kashmiri patients stranded in parts of Delhi appeals for resumption of domestic flights

Srinagar, May 13 (KNS): Several Kashmiri patients stranded in peripheries of Delhi and Gurgaon Wednesday appealed Union and UT Governments to resume functioning of domestic flights for return of stranded people to their respective destinations as the unending pandemic crisis has taken heavy toll on their health conditions.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) from Gurgaon over phone, Mohammad Shafi Simnani said he had gone outside UT for medical treatment but after lockdown execution he along with dozens of critical patients are suffering lot of hardships as no body from Union or UT government has taken our return seriously.
“I came to Fortis Gurgaon for medical exigency but after Union Government executed unending lockdown, I along with several Kashmiris got stuck here in an unfavorable atmosphere. The calamity like situation has taken heavy toll on our health as we couldn’t move beyond four walls”, Simnani said.
He said though we communicated Div Com Kashmir recently regarding facilitation of return to Valley, but so far no concrete steps have been initiated in this regard.
Simnani requested Union and UT Governments to resume domestic flight operations across the country for evacuation of stranded people to their respective destinations.
Another caller from Lajpath Nagar told KNS that he too had been stuck there amid restrictions and couldn’t able to get required facilities for containing health issues.
“I am stuck in Lajpath Nagar from several weeks. My engagement round the clock is to watch four walls day and night like a mute spectator which is disturbing me a lot. Even I couldn’t move outside for facilities required for containing health issues”, Mohsin Burza said.
They appealed authorities to resume domestic flight operations across the country for early evacuation of stranded passengers to their homes in wake of Covid-19 pandemic situation. (KNS)
