KCIC delegation calls on Advisor Baseer Khan
SRINAGAR, MAY 18: A delegation of Kashmir Chamber of Industries and Commerce (KCIC), today, met the Advisor to lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan and apprised him about their problems and various issues pertaining to the industry.
The delegation raised the issues of access to banks in Kothibag area, extending the tender license of parking by one year, tour and travels, inter-district movement passes for trucks, medicine distributers, waiving of electricity and water bills to hoteliers, disbursing rent charges to hoteliers, fixing of rent for hotel accommodation, permission to grocery vendors and other issues of tour and travels, tourism and handicraft industry.
The delegation also apprised the advisor that they are facing many difficulties during the movement and sought his intervention.
Advisor Khan assured the delegation that their demands will be addressed at priority and most of the demands including the inter district movement passes, permission to more grocery vendors shall be addressed today while other issues would be taken up with Lieutenant Governor, J&K.
The members also demanded that restaurants and Rangreth industrial Area may be allowed to resume the activities.
The Advisor listened their demands and assured full support from the Government. He said Govt is committed to work with the people and address their genuine problems in time bound manner.
