Centre to send more IAS officers to J&K
The Centre will send some of the UT cadre IAS and IPS officers to Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the governance system.
As some of the officers have been transferred from the Union Territory of J&K to the Union Territory of Ladakh, the need is being felt to fill the gap.
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the transfer of four senior IAS and IPS officers from J&K to Ladakh.
Some of the officers in J&K are holding more than one portfolio which is impacting the work in some departments.
Sources said the Centre would send experienced IAS officers from other UTs to J&K to fill the gap.
