CRPF personnel dies by suicide in Srinagar
A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper allegedly ended his life by shooting himself with his service refile in Panthachowk area of Srinagar on Monday, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS).
Unnamed officials told GNS that constable Biswajit Dutta of CRPF 29 battalion fired upon himself and died on the spot. After being spotted, the trooper was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
A police officer also confirmed to GNS the incident and said that the reason for committing suicide was not immediately known. He said investigations are underway in this regard. (GNS)
