Trading community in recent advertisement said that despite such wash out of seasons, starting from Amarnath land row of 2008, till the present clampdown, they have been paying back the bank loans and also the different taxes of government. They have said that post abrogation of article 370 they have been badly hit and cannot survive if the government will not intervene.

Office bearers of Kashmir Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) told media that instead of selling false narratives about the economy of Kashmir the central government should come to the rescue of locals especially the business community as the present condition was now unbearable.

“How cruel can the system be when fraternity is being enticed for investments, sky is the limit, has been sold as dreams (sic). But when the same community gets trapped due to system failures, the same system leaves the community in shambles and start selling false dreams to new entrepreneurs,” the SOS message, of Kashmir business community published in the newspapers said.

Senior businessmen in Srinagar city are so frustrated that they say there is no other alternative but to hit the streets as their survival was at stake.

Dozens of heads of different business centers told media that they will soon jointly decide what to do if the central government continues to ignore and treat them with contempt. The recent message published in the local newspapers according to them was the last request by them for the intervention.
