Divisional Administration of Kashmir in the recent past held series of high level meetings in the backdrop of growing coronavirus threat and has asked the entire government machinery to take the steps to put in place the arrangements to fight back the infection.

In this backdrop many Deputy Commissioners in Kashmir valley recently issued an advisory appealing general public to voluntarily come forward and inform the health authorities if they have symptoms like fever, cough, sneezing, shortness of breath or sore throat  so that necessary precautions are taken accordingly to safeguard human life.

Besides, the persons having the travel history of the affected regions from the last two months have also been asked to share information with the administration and health department without any delay.

There has been a huge contact programme through electronic media in entire jammu and Kashmir to educate people of precautionary steps to be taken to safeguard themselves from the corona virus infection. Already authorites have closed down all the educational instituations in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of infection.

Recently all the Deputy Commissioners in Jammu and Kashmir issued another advisory ordered suspension of work in all tuition & coaching centers and on official & social gatherings till 31st of March 2020 as a precautionary measure to avoid any kind of risk related to Novel COVID-19.
