Three suspected militants arrested in south Kashmir: Police
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three suspected militants at Keegam area of Shopian district of south Kashmir, who were trying to execute a weapon snatching bid at the naka party.
Sources told that three suspected militants were arrested at Keegam, Shopian by the police. “Police also fired in air after the trio tried to escape when they were asked to stop at the naka point at Keegam. They were later arrested,” they said.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shopian Amrit Pal told that the trio arrested are not “suspected militants, but militants.”
Police sources said that they are trying to confirm the identity and affiliation of the arrested trio. (KNO)
