Srinagar, Apr 25 (KNS): Srinagar Police on Saturday arrested nineteen persons for defying government’s prohibitory orders in wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
“On April 24, acting tough against the violators of government orders, Sub-division Sadder registered 8 FIRs and arrested 19 violators defying government’s prohibitory orders issued by District Magistrate Srinagar regarding the covid-19”, police said.
The details of fresh FIRs include FIR No. 81/2020 U/S 188, 269 IPC PS Sadder registered against Faizan Ahmad Gunsoo son of Ghulam Nabi, Bilal Ahmad Gunsoo son of Mohammad Shaban and Ruhail Ahmad Shah son of Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, all are vegetable sellers and residents of Mehjoor Nagar, FIR No. 82/2020 u/s 188,269 IPC at PS Sadder registered against Mohammad Altaf Hajam son of Gulzar Ahmad, Mohammad Rafiq Hajam son of Nizam-ud-din, residents of Gogji Pathri Budgam, FIR No. 83/2020 u/s 188, 269 IPC PS Sadder registered against Arif Dar son of Abdul Majeed of Narbal, Faizan Daga @ Arif son of Abdul Aziz of Mehjoor Nagar and Furqan Rah son of Mohammad Yousuf Raha of Mehjoor Nagar, FIR No. 84/2020 u/s 188, 269 IPC PS sadder registered against Mohammad Haneif Shulu son of Ali Mohammad of Kawdara, Jan Mohammad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Mehjoor Nagar, FIR No. 85/2020 U/s 188, 269 IPC PS Sadder against Rafiq Ahmad Makroo son of Mohammad Yousuf Makroo resident of Natipora (Tailor), FIR No. 86/20 u/s 188, 269 IPC PS Sadder Aqib Bashir Taploo son of Bashir Ahmad Taploo resident of Bagh-e-Mehtab (fruit-seller), FIR No. 87/2020 u/s 188, 269 IPC PS sadder against Isfaq Ahmad Shergojri resident of Rakhshaleena (Shopkeeper) and FIR No. 33/2020 u/s 188, 269 IPC PS Rajbagh against Riyaz Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Shafi resident of Zero Bridge Rajbagh, Amir Ahmad Bhat son of Ali Mohammad resident of Kawdara Nowhatta, Fayaz Ahmad Gazi son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Mehjoor Nagar, Altaf Ahmad Rah son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Mehjoor Nagar, Mohammad Rafiq Khan son of Noor Mohammad resident of Mehjoor Nagar and Ghulam Mohi-ud-din son of Abdul Salam Dar resident of Mehjoor Nagar.
Police reiterated its appeal to people residing in Srinagar to follow government advisories and orders so that this deadly virus Covid-19 could be controlled. (KNS)
