Budgam Police solves three theft cases, accused arrested Stolen vehicles recovered

Budgam Police on Tuesday claimed to have solved three theft cases and  arrested accused person .
According to police statement, Police in Budgam solved three theft cases reported to Police Station Budgam and have arrested one accused person involved in the commission of crimes. Stolen vehicles have also been recovered by the officers.
Police Station Budgam received three complaints from the residents of the area that some unknown persons stole their vehicles (Two Sumos and a Maruti-800 bearing registration numbers JK04-8697, JK01L-6263 and JK01F-7617).
Subsequently, cases vide FIR numbers 72/2020, 138/2020 and 139/2020 under relevant sections of law were registered in Police Station Budgam and further investigations were set into motion.
During the course of investigation, officers from Police Station Budgam have arrested one accused person identified as Abdul Majeed Dar resident of Noorpora Magam involved in the commission of crimes. Officers were also able to recover three stolen vehicles on his disclosure. He has been shifted to Police Station Budgam where he remains in custody.
Community members have applauded the efforts made by the Budgam police in solving the case. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities, the statement said (KNS)
